The convertible gets a larger trunk to accomodate the roof, aluminum trim, and special sport seats. The G37 convertible comes loaded with great accessories like an automatic climate control, a wind deflector, seat with a heater in them, and a 13-speaker Bose sound system. Bose is always at the pinnacle of sound and the system designed for the G37 uses digital signals and nosie cancelling speakers to adjust for nosie when the top is down. A tonneau cover disguises the three piece roof which rests in the trunk when the convertible feature is enabled. The convertible top can be put down in no time.
It looks like Infiniti designed this car as a convertible from the beginning with its wide track and reinforced chassis to hold the convertible top and motors. As expected the entire convertible hardware adds a bit of extra weight, and tips the scales at over two tons. It is 453 pounds. heavier than the 2 door and over 100 pounds. exceeding the similar BMW convertible.
Engine wise, the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible has a 3.7L V-6 motor produces 327-hp and 276lb-ft of torque.lb feet of torque. It comes available with a sport package and a standard six speed manual transmission or an optional seven speed automatic. The rolling stock feature some 19-in rims, upgraded brakes, and a quicker steering ratio. G37 models with an auto transmission will have magnesium paddle shifters. The base model version of the Infiniti convertible should cost just shy of 40k.It is imperitive to pay a little extra to get a stick shift version of the trans.
